Ear screening program details of Shree Mahakaruna Sakya Vidhayalaya, Lomanthang, Upper Mustang

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal which included ENT Surgeon: Dr. Milan Maharjan, Dr. Susanne Von, Der Heider, Lama Tsering Tashi, Audio-technician: Ms. Prity Maharjan, Community Ear Assistant:Mana Shrestha, Mr. Naresh Shakya, Mrs. Beatriz, Mr. Txaber.

Active participation and support was provided by the teacher during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 71
• Total number of students with normal finding: 39(54.92%)
• Total number of students with wax: 22 (30.98%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 1(1.40%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problem: 9(12.67%)

• Total number of students with hearing loss: 4 (5.63%)
• Total number of students requiring ear surgery: 4
