Ear screening program details of Lowo Nyphug Namdrol Norbuling Monastic School, Choser, Upper Mustang

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal which included ENT Surgeon: Dr. Milan Maharjan, Dr. Susanne Von, Der Heider, Lama Tsering Tashi, Audio-technician: Ms. Prity Maharjan, Community Ear Assistant:Mana Shrestha, Mr. Naresh Shakya, Mrs. Beatriz, Mr. Txaber.

Active participation and support was provided by the teacher during entire program. 

• Total number of students ear screened: 35
• Total number of students with normal finding: 31(88.57%)
• Total number of students with wax: 1(2.86%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problem: 3(8.57%)

  • Retracted TM: 1
• SNHL: 0
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 2 (5.7%)
• Total number of students requiring ear surgery: 2
