Ear screening program details of Shree Divya Deep Secondary School, Choser, Upper Mustang

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal which included ENT Surgeon: Dr. Milan Maharjan, Dr. Susanne Von, Der Heider, Lama Tsering Tashi, Audio-technician: Ms. Prity Maharjan, Community Ear Assistant:Mana Shrestha, Mr. Naresh Shakya, Mrs. Beatriz, Mr. Txaber.

Active participation and support was provided by the teacher during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 87
• Total number of students with normal finding: 65(74.71%)
• Total number of students with wax: 10(11.49%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problem: 10(11.49%)
  • CSOM TT: 4
  • Retracted TM: 6
• SNHL: 2(2.21%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 5(5.74%)
• Total number of students requiring ear surgery: 3
