Ear screening program details of Shree Jana Shanti Secondary School, Kagbeni, Upper Mustang

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal which included ENT Surgeon: Dr. Milan Maharjan, Dr. Susanne Von, Der Heider, Lama Tsering Tashi, Audio-technician: Ms. Prity Maharjan, Community Ear Assistant:Mana Shrestha, Mr. Naresh Shakya, Mrs. Beatriz, Mr. Txaber.

Active participation and support was provided by the teacher during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 153
• Total number of students with normal finding: 98(64.04%)
• Total number of students with wax: 48(31.3%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problem: 6(3.92%)

• SNHL: 0
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 5 (3.3%)
• Total number of students requiring ear surgery: 3
