Ear screening program of Anis from Karma Samten Ling Nunnery.  

Screening program and primary ear care education was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal which included ENT Surgeon: Dr. Milan Maharjan, Audio-technician: Ms. Ramita Maharjan and Volunteers: Ms. Priza Shakya, Ms. Niharika Shakya

Active participation and support was provided by the Senior lamas and Anis during entire program. 

• Total number of anis: 60
• Total number with normal findings: 50 (83.33%)
• Total number with wax: 1 (1.66%)
• Total number with middle ear problem: 8 (13.33%) 
  • Chronic Otitis Media TT: 7
  • Retracted TM: 1
  • Sensori Neural Hearing Loss: 1
  • Anis needing surgery: 6
