Ear screening program of Anis from Samye Memorial's Nunnery.   

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal which included ENT Surgeon: Dr. Milan Maharjan, Audio-technician: Ms. Ramita Maharjan and Volunteers: Ms. Priza Shakya  

Active participation and support was provided by the Senior lamas and Anis during entire program.  

• Total number of ani/lama: 198
• Total number with normal findings: 155 (78.28%)
• Total number with wax: 30 (15.15%)
• Total number with middle ear problem: 12 (6.06%) 
  • Chronic Otitis Media TT: 8
  • OME: 1
  • Retracted TM: 3
  • Infected pre-auricular sinus: 1
  • SNHL: 4
  • Ani/lama needing surgery: 6
