Ear screening program details of Tsechn Shechen Ling Sakya Tharig Monastery, Bouddha, Kathamndu

Ear screening program of Tsechn Shechen Ling Sakya Tharig Monastery (Seto Gompa). 

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal which included ENT Surgeon: Dr. Milan Maharjan, Audio-technician: Ms. Ramita Maharjan and Volunteers: Ms. Badri Maharjan, Ms. Prity Maharjan.

Active participation and support was provided by the Senior lamas during entire program.  

• Total number of lamas: 64
• Total number with normal findings: 45 (70.31%)
• Total number with wax: 10 (15.62%)
• SNHL: 2 (3.12%)
• Total number with middle ear problem: 7 (10.93%) 
  • Chronic Otitis Media 'TT': 3
  • Retracted thin TM: 2
  • ASOM: 2
• Lamas needing surgery: 2
