Ear screening program details of Saraswoti Secondary School

Sudal, Bhaktapur

 Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samjhana Phuyal, Ms. Smriti Shrestha, Ms. Prity Maharjan,  Ms. Alina  Madhikarmi & Ms. Rosy Bajracharya. 

 Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 324
• Total number of students with normal findings: 151 (46.6%)
• Total number of students with wax: 137 (42.28%)
• Impacted Wax with hearing loss: 5(1.54%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 1(0.3%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problem: 29 (8.9%)
• SNHL: 2 (0.61%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 14 (4.3%)
