Ear screening program details of Bhanu Secondary School (Durbar High School),

Ranipokhari, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samira Raj Bhandari, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Sangita Dhakal, Ms. Anjani Kumari Gupta, Ms. Roshna Shretha & Ms. Anita Kumpakha

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 698
• Total number of students with normal findings: 350 (50.14%)
• Total number of students with wax: 272 (38.97%)
• Total number of students with external ear problems: 1 (0.14%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 75 (10.75%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 9 (1.28%)
