Ear screening program details of Shree Amar Jyoti Secondary School,

Syuchatar, Nagarjun, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samira Raj Bhandari, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Sangita Dhakal, Ms. Roshna Shrestha & Ms. Anita Kumpakha

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 614
• Total number of students with normal findings: 326 (53.09%)
  • Normal with hearing loss: 5
• Total number of students with wax: 248 (40.4%)
• Total number of students with external ear problems: 0
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 40 (6.51%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 14 (2.28%)
