Ear screening program details of Saraswoti Secondary School,

Tokha, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samira Raj Bhandari, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Sangita Dhakal, Ms. Roshna Shrestha, Ms. Anjani Kumari Gupta & Ms. Anita Kumpakha

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 1003
• Total number of students with normal findings: 535 (53.34%)
  • Normal with hearing loss: 5
• Total number of students with wax: 375 (37.39%)
  • Wax with hearing loss: 3
• Total number of students with external ear problems: 4 (0.4%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 89 (8.87%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 30 (2.99%)
