Ear screening program details of Sitaram Secondary School,

Nagarjun, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samira Raj Bhandari, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Sangita Dhakal, Ms. Roshna Shrestha & Ms. Anita Kumpakha, Ms. Julia Hoang & Ms. Shamss Alqahiri

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 395
• Total number of students with normal findings: 201 (50.89%) 
• Total number of students with wax: 160 (40.51%)
• Total number of students with external ear problems: 2 (0.50%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 32 (8.10%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 9 (2.28%)
