Ear screening program details of Bal Byabasayee Kendra Secondary School

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal:Dr. Gautami Shakya, Dr. Santosh Kumar, Dr. Samjhana Phuyal, Mr. Binay Bikram Adhikari, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Alina Madhikarmi, Ms. Elina Maharjan & Mr. Arri.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 327
• Total number of students with normal findings: 191 (58.41%)
• Total number of students with wax: 101(30.88%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 1 (0.31%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 33 (10.09%)
• SNHL: 1 (0.31%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 8
• Total number of students requiring ear surgery: 11
