Ear screening program details of Sewa Kendra Leprosy Relief

Gaushala, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samjhana Phuyal, Ms. Mana Shrestha, Ms. Prity Maharjan & Ms. Alina Madhikarmi.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 26
• Total number of students with normal findings: 16 (61.54%)
• Total number of students with wax: 7 (26.92%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 3 (11.53%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 1 (3.84%)
• Total number of students requiring ear surgery: 1
