Ear screening program details of Sharada Lower Secondary School

Tilganga, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samjhana Phuyal, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Alina Madhikarmi, Ms. Beatriz de Francisco & Mr. Txaber Ingunza.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 26
• Total number of students with normal findings: 15 (57.69%)
• Total number of students with wax: 5 (19.23%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 6 (23.08%)

• Total number of students with hearing loss: 0
• Total number of students requiring ear surgery: 0
