Ear screening program details of Kalikasharan Secondary School

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Milan Maharjan, Dr. Samjhana Phuyal, Mr. Binay Bikram Adhikari, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Alina Madhikarmi, Ms. Elina Maharjan, Ms. Ramita Maharjan, Ms. Susy Chen & Ms. Huang Yu, Haylan.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 236
• Total number of students with normal findings: 154 (62.25%)
• Total number of students with wax: 61 (25.84%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 21 (8.9%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 7 (2.97%)
• Total number of students requiring ear surgery: 4
