Ear screening program details of Mangal Secondary School

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samjhana Phuyal, Dr. Santosh Kumar, Mr. Shakespeare Pandey, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Alina Madhikarmi, Ms. Elina Maharjan & Ms. Rosy Bajracharya.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 664
• Total number of students with normal findings: 402(60.54%)
• Total number of students with wax: 164(24.69)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 9(1.35%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 70(10.54%)
• SNHL: 3(0.45%)
• Mixed Hearing Loss: 1(0.15%)
• Total number of student with hearing loss: 50(7.53%)
