Ear screening program details of Ugra Tara Secondary School

Sankharapur-12, Ghumarchowk, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samjhana Phuyal, Mr. Binay Bikram Adhikari, Ms. Ramita Maharjan , Ms. Alina Madhikarmi & Ms. Elina Maharjan

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 149
• Total number of students with normal findings: 77 (51.68%)
• Total number of students with wax: 51 (34.23%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 1 (0.67%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 20 (13.42%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 7 (4.69%)
• Total number of students requiring ear surgery: 4
