Ear screening program details of Rastriya Secondary School

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samjhana Phuyal, Ms. Prity Maharjan , Ms. Alina Madhikarmi & Ms. Elina Maharjan

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 174
• Total number of students with normal findings: 91 (52.29%)
• Total number of students with wax: 53 (30.46%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 2 (1.14%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 27 (15.51%)
• SNHL: 1 (0.57%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 9 (5.17%)
• Total number of students requiring ear surgery: 3
