Ear screening program details of Nabin Gram Secondary School

Nanglebhare-7, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samjhana Phuyal, Ms. Prity Maharjan , Ms. Alina Madhikarmi & Ms. Elina Maharjan

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 126
• Total number of students with normal findings: 61 (48.41%)
• Total number of students with wax: 43 (34.12%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 2 (1.58%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 19 (15.07%)
• SNHL: 1 (0.79%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 8 (6.34%)
• Total number of students requiring ear surgery: 6
