Ear screening program details of Shivapuri Secondary School,

Maharajgunj, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Rajesh Maharjan, Ms. Smriti Shrestha , Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Elina Maharjan, Rashmi Maharjan &  Rosy Bajracharya.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 841
• Total number of students with normal findings: 554 (65.87%)
• Total number of students with wax: 250 (29.72%)
• Total number of students with external ear problems: 3(0.35%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 34 (4.04%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 20 (2.37%)
