Ear screening program details of Janaprabhat Secondary School,

Kalimati, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Rajesh Maharjan, Ms. Smriti Shrestha , Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Rashmi Maharjan, Ms. Rosy Bajracharya & Ms. Elina Maharjan.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 459
• Total number of students with normal findings: 298 (64.92%)
• Total number of students with wax: 143 (31.15%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 2(0.43%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 16 (3.48%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 7 (1.52%)
