Ear screening program details of Shitala Secondary School,

Boharatar, Balaju, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Rajesh Maharjan, Ms. Smriti Shrestha , Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Rashmi Maharjan, Ms Rosy Bajracharya &  Ms. Elina Maharjan.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 434
• Total number of students with normal findings: 307 (70.73%)
• Total number of students with wax: 105 (24.19%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 1(0.23%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 21 (4.83%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 15 (3.45%)
