Ear screening program details of Shanti Nikunja Secondary School,

Maru Ganesh, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samjhana Phuyal, Ms. Smriti Shrestha , Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Rashmi Maharjan, Ms Elina Maharjan, Ms. Rosy Bajracharya.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 420
• Total number of students with normal findings: 235 (55.95%)
• Total number of students with wax: 143 (34.04%)
• Total numner of students with external ear problem: 2(0.47%)
• Total number of students with middle ear probelm: 40 (9.52%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 16(3.80%)
