Ear screening program details of Tangal Secondary School,

Naxal, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samjhana Phuyal, Ms. Smriti Shrestha , Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Rashmi Maharjan, Ms Elina Maharjan &  Ms. Kareena Giri.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 440
• Total number of students with normal findings: 293 (66.59%)
• Total number of students with wax: 115 (26.13%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 1(0.22%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 31 (7.04%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 7 (1.59%)
