Ear screening program details of Gyan Bikash Basic School,

Gyaneshwor, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Samjhana Phuyal, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Elina Maharjan, Karina Giri.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 71
• Total number of students with normal findings: 32(45.07%)
• Total number of students with wax: 26 (36.62%)
• Total numner of students with external ear problem: 0
• Total number of students with middle ear probelm: 13(18.31%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 2(2.8%)
