Ear screening program details of Janakalyan Secondary School,

Boudha, Mahankal, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Shristi Subba, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Sangita Dhakal, Rosy Bajracharya & Ms. Karina Giri.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 968
• Total number of students with normal findings: 632 (65.25%)
• Total number of students with wax: 289 (29.86%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 2 (0.21%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 45 (4.65%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 25 (2.58%)
