Ear screening program details of Viswa Niketan Secondary School,

Tripureshwor, Kathmandu

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Shristi Subba, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms Sangita Dhakal, Ms. Rosy Bajracharya, Ms. Elina Maharjan &  Ms. Karina Giri.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 1079
• Total number of students with normal findings: 676 (62.65%)
• Total number of students with wax: 320 (29.66%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 5 (0.46%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 78 (7.23%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 28 (2.59%)
