Ear screening program details of Namuna Machindra Secondary School

Lagankhel, Lalitpur

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal:Dr. Milan Maharjan, Dr. Samjhana Phuyal, Dr. Monica Schumacher, Mr. Binay Bikram Adhikari, Ms. Mana Shrestha, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Alina Madhikarmi & Ms. Elina Maharjan.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 415
• Total number of students with normal findings: 294 (70.84%)
• Total number of students with wax: 71(70.1%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 2 (0.48%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problem: 45 (10.84%)
• SNHL: 3 (0.72%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 21 (5.06%)
