Ear screening program details of Namuna Machindra Secondary School

Lagankhel, Lalitpur

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal:Dr. Milan Maharjan, Dr. Samjhana Phuyal, Dr. Monica Schumacher, Mr. Binay Bikram Adhikari, Ms. Mana Shrestha, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Alina Madhikarmi, Ms. Elina Maharjan.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 415
• Total number of students with normal findings: 294 (70.84%)
• Total number of students with wax: 71(70.1%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 2 (0.48%)
• Total number of students with middle ear probelm: 45 (10.84%)
• SNHL: 3 (0.72%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 21 (5.06%)
