Ear screening program details of Shree Mahendra Bhrikuti Secondary School

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Milan Maharjan, Dr. Monica Schumacher, Dr. Christopher Schumacher, Dr. Samjhana Phuyal, Dr. Santosh Kumar, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Mana Shrestha, Ms. Alina Madhikarmi & Mr. Gorka.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 353
• Total number of students with normal findings: 222 (62.89%)
• Total number of students with wax: 85 (24.08%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 1 (0.28%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 40 (11.33%)
• SNHL: 5 (1.42%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 20 (5.66%)
