Ear screening program details of Shree Mahendra Bhrikuti Secondary School

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Milan Maharjan, Dr. Monica Schumacher, Dr. Christopher Schumacher, Dr. Samjhana Phuyal, Dr. Santosh Kumar, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Mana Shrestha, Ms. Alina Madhikarmi, Mr. Gorka.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 353
• Total number of students with normal findings: 222 (62.89%)
• Total number of students with wax: 85 (24.08%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 1 (0.28%)
• Total number of students with middle ear probelm: 40 (11.33%)
• SNHL: 5 (1.42%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 20 (5.66%)
