Ear screening program details of Shree Bishwamitra Ganesh Secondary School,

Dharachaur, Lubhu, Lalitpur

Screening program was carried out by a team from Ear Care Nepal: Dr. Shristi Subba, Dr. Samjhana Phuyal, Ms. Prity Maharjan, Ms. Elina Maharjan, Ms Sangita Dhakal & Ms. Karina Giri.

Active participation and support was provided by the teachers during entire program.

• Total number of students ear screened: 489
• Total number of students with normal findings: 294(60.12%)
• Total number of students with wax: 139 (28.43%)
• Total number of students with external ear problem: 1(0.20%)
• Total number of students with middle ear problems: 56 (11.45%)
• Total number of students with hearing loss: 13(2.66%)
